In her role as a senior relationship manager for the Private Donor Group, Tobi Becerra is responsible for providing Fidelity Charitable’s most generous donors with guidance, insight and solutions to meet their philanthropic goals. Prior to joining Fidelity Charitable in 2019, Tobi was a senior philanthropy advisor at Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Before that, she was a principal gifts academic liaison at Santa Clara University.
Tobi received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Chapman University, and Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University. She also holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management.
Katie Collins joined Fidelity Charitable in 2013 as a member of the Private Donor Group team. In her current role, she works closely with individual donors and families to develop strategies to achieve their philanthropic goals. Prior to joining Fidelity Charitable, Katie held several positions within the Development Office at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, including as a member of the Annual Fund, Corporate Partnership and Campaign Planning teams, where she was responsible for fundraising toward their Mission Possible campaign, which raised $1 billion.
Before that, she was an account executive at Cone Communications, where she created cause branding and corporate responsibility strategies for both nonprofit organizations and Fortune 500 companies.
Katie received a bachelor of arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross. In her spare time, Katie volunteers and serves on the boards of nonprofit organizations within her community that support vulnerable children and women.
Karen Heald is Vice President, Philanthropic Strategies, for the Private Donor Group at Fidelity Charitable. Karen helps donors engage more deeply in their philanthropic journeys and works with them to create long-term plans to achieve their charitable objectives. Karen received a bachelor of science degree from Providence College and holds the Chartered Advisor of Philanthropy designation. Before joining Fidelity Charitable in 2007, Karen was a senior development officer for Pine Street Inn in Boston, MA. In this role, she was responsible for supporting all areas of the charity’s fundraising efforts. Previous to that Karen was a development officer with the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.
Susan Laidlaw joined Fidelity Charitable in 2015. Prior to joining Fidelity Charitable, Susan was an Associate Director of Major Gifts at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where she identified, cultivated, and solicited major gifts from Fuqua alumni in New England and California. She also served as the development liaison with Fuqua's Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Fuqua/Coach K Center for Leadership and Ethics. Before Fuqua, she was Regional Vice President at Fidelity Investments' Tax Exempt Services Company; Vice President, Mortgage Sales at Salomon Brothers, Inc.; and Vice President in the Commercial Banking Division at Bankers Trust Company.
Susan received a bachelor of arts degree in political economy from Williams College.
Elaine Martyn’s career has centered on building programs around family philanthropy, mentorship and leadership, impact investing, international grant-making, and values-based giving. She has worked with major donors to support the advancement of health and human rights through medical education, social justice, diversity policy, and advocacy in the United States, United Kingdom, and Asia through her work at the Global Fund for Women, Refugees International, King’s College London, the British Medical Association, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School, and as a Special Advisor on Philanthropy to the U.S. State Department. Ms. Martyn double majored in medical studies and English literature and communications at Gannon University. She received a master’s degree in Victorian literature from the University of Leeds.
Rebecca joined the Private Donor Group in 2020. As a philanthropic strategist, she uses her knowledge of international and domestic grantmaking to help donors make philanthropy as powerful a force as possible for social change. Rebecca is passionate about global grassroots civil society and advocating for its influence in decision-making processes.
Prior to joining Fidelity Charitable, Ms. Miller was a senior philanthropic advisor at The Philanthropic Initiative, as well as a technical advisor on resilience, governance, and partnership at Mercy Corps. Rebecca has also worked for Hunt Alternative Fund’s Institute for Inclusive Security.
Rebecca received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and Spanish from Grinnell College, and a Master's degree from The George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs.
Nageeb Sumar joined Fidelity Charitable in 2018 as a member of the Private Donor Group team. In his current role, Nageeb helps Fidelity Charitable’s most generous donors develop innovative solutions in catalyzing social change in the United States and around the world. Prior to joining Fidelity Charitable, he served in a leadership role at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for nine years, overseeing the foundation’s work on policy, systems, and innovation in philanthropy. He also led and oversaw the Gates Foundation’s partnership with various governments in the U.S., Canada, and Asia-Pacific region.
Nageeb holds a law degree from McGill Law School, a master’s degree in international finance from Queen’s University School of Business, and bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Urban and Regional Planning from Cornell University.
Christine Switzer joined the Private Donor Group team in 2017. Prior to joining Fidelity Charitable, she was a philanthropic advisor to the Faraway Foundation and It’s Time Network. Previous to that, she was a development director at the Global Fund for Women. In other prior roles, she served as director of development and external affairs at the International Museum of Women, director of corporate and foundation relations at the UC Berkeley Law School, director of UC Berkeley Extension’s International Programs, and worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund. She also worked as a management consultant at Accenture in Washington D.C., France and the Netherlands, and has worked for the U.S. Embassy in Paris and Madrid.
Christine received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and graduated with a master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University. She also studied at the Sorbonne and at the Institut de Sciences Politiques in Paris.
Sarah Weissberg joined Fidelity Charitable in 2018. As part of the Private Donor Group team, Sarah conducts research and creates resources to inform decision making by Fidelity Charitable donors seeking to provide transformational support for nonprofits.
She has more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector and philanthropy. Prior to coming to Fidelity Charitable, she worked at Duke University’s Office of Development as Senior Development Writer and Program Director of Interdisciplinary Initiatives. In both roles, she connected donors with opportunities to support a wide array of programs across the university. Before Duke, she was Director of Member Relations at the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits, a statewide association for nonprofits. Sarah received a bachelor of arts degree from Guilford College and a master of arts degree from North Carolina State University, both in English.

In other prior roles, she served as director of development and external affairs at the International Museum of Women, director of corporate and foundation relations at the UC Berkeley Law School, director of UC Berkeley Extension’s International Programs, and worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund. She also worked as a management consultant at Accenture in Washington D.C., France and the Netherlands, and has worked for the U.S. Embassy in Paris and Madrid.
Christine received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and graduated with a master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University. She also studied at the Sorbonne and at the Institut de Sciences Politiques in Paris.
Sarah Weissberg joined Fidelity Charitable in 2018. As part of the Private Donor Group team, Sarah conducts research and creates resources to inform decision making by Fidelity Charitable donors seeking to provide transformational support for nonprofits.
She has more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector and philanthropy. Prior to coming to Fidelity Charitable, she worked at Duke University’s Office of Development as Senior Development Writer and Program Director of Interdisciplinary Initiatives. In both roles, she connected donors with opportunities to support a wide array of programs across the university. Before Duke, she was Director of Member Relations at the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits, a statewide association for nonprofits. Sarah received a bachelor of arts degree from Guilford College and a master of arts degree from North Carolina State University, both in English.
