DAF Direct Widget
Free and easy to install, the DAF Direct widget enables your donors to recommend grants from their donor-advised fund (DAF) directly from your website.
From 1995 to 2011, the number of individual donor-advised fund accounts has grown at an average annual rate of almost 14%.1 As more donors choose to give with a DAF, the widget provides your organization a way to simplify your donors' charitable giving and tap into the growing popularity of donor-advised funds.
Surveys have also found that when our donors seek out information on charities, 76% do that research on the charity's website.2 The widget offers these donors a more seamless granting experience. Additionally, when a grant is recommended with the widget, neither you nor your donors will incur any transaction fees.3
Throughout the development of the DAF Direct widget, 10 nonprofit organizations and other sponsors of donor-advised funds worked with Fidelity Charitable, an independent public charity with a donor-advised fund program, to develop the concept and improve the technology. As a result of this collaboration, the widget is already connected to Schwab Charitable, in addition to Fidelity Charitable, and there are plans to expand to other national and community foundation donor-advised fund sponsors to increase the reach and value of the technology for donors and nonprofits.
