Imagine $25 billion in impact—thanks to you

A message from Fidelity Charitable President Amy Danforth

Dear Fidelity Charitable donor:

As Fidelity Charitable enters its 25th year, I want to thank and honor you for your demonstrated commitment to giving, now and into the future. We were founded in 1991 to make it easier for more Americans to prioritize philanthropy and realize their potential to make a difference. I couldn’t be more inspired as I see that vision realized, thanks to donors like you who have adopted our donor-advised fund program.

In honor of our 25th anniversary, we are challenging our community of donors to deliver a cumulative total of $25 billion in impact by December 31. To cross that threshold, we need to grant nearly an additional $2 billion to charities between now and the end of the year. We invite you to be part of reaching this milestone.

Grants recommended by our community of 132,000 donors have led to major advances in fighting diseases like Alzheimer’s and cancer. Together, you have ensured that countless children go to school fed and ready to learn, and bright young adults can access educational opportunities that help to put them on a path toward a better life. You’ve helped veterans get job training as they transition to civilian life. You’ve given the homeless a place to sleep and the injured a place to heal. You’ve been a foundation for faith communities and their good works across the country and around the globe.

As I consider the more than 800,000 donor-recommended grants that we are projected to make this year, I am humbled by the power of generous individuals like you to make the world a better place. Each of these grants provides critical support for a nonprofit and the people it serves.

I ask you to consider the charitable organizations and causes you care most about and the opportunity to make a real difference for a nonprofit that needs it. Join with us to be part of achieving this historic milestone. Imagine the impact we can create together.

Thank you for your generosity and for choosing Fidelity Charitable to support your philanthropy.

Sincerely,

Amy N. Danforth
